DYON 2006--Aojiro

Yes, I'm finally done!!!!! *collapses* At last, here's my entry for 's DYON contest! This took forever to finish >_<

Name: Aojiro Higure
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Rank: Genin

Family History: The Higure clan have always kept to themselves, independent but extremely loyal to their village. They are strong-willed people that rarely allow themselves to recieve help from others. This is not because they were stuck up, but because they didn't want to be a burden. Only about 1/3 of the Higure clan set out to learn the ways of the ninja, the rest content with their lives as a shopkeeper, housewife, or the family business of writing.
Aojiro's mother died during childbirth and devastated his father. Saddened from the death of his wife he focused all of his attention on becoming a doctor. After fulfilling this goal he spends all day away from home and Aojiro was sent to live with his grandparents. Aojiro can not help but feel slightly angry toward his father for leaving him alone all these years.

Personality: Aojiro is often mistaken for being shy because he is quiet most of the time, observing his surroundings. He enjoys hearing his friends' talk, their happiness becoming his own. Aojiro is slow to anger, but if his friends are being insulted or in danger he switches personalites in the blink of an eye. Aojiro, in some ways, can be considered a scaredy cat. He puts up a tough front but when he sees a spider he screams hysterically and hides behind the closest person. Because of his lonely childhood, he is sometimes pessimistic of most situations.

Personal Bio: Since he's spent all his live with his grandparent's he adores them. He often helps his grandmother with the chores and spends most of his evenings playing Go or Shogi with his grandfather. He entered the Academy late because his grandfather had hurt his back and he stayed behind to help take care of him. Aojiro resents his father, who has immursed himself in his work ever since his wife died. His visits have become so sparse that he barely even shows up for his son's birthday.
Aojiro has an affinity for birds, and had numerous sparrows, hawks, and crows as pets. At the age of 7 his first pet was a crow. This earned some bad looks from the villagers for awhile who believed crows to be bad luck

Weapons of Choice:
His favorite is his boomerang, the extras held in a holster on his waist. It's a long range weapon so he doesn't have to get too close to the enemy to strike them. His boomerangs are razor sharp and are able to disable any enemy ninjas swiftly and quickly. Above all, this is his favorite weapon because he doesn't have to come face-to-face with his victim, a small compensation for his guilty conscience.
If forced to, or if he has run out of boomerangs, Aojiro will use his katana. Although it is rare for him to resort to this weapon, his swings are powerful and well-practiced. Being ambidextrous, he is able to switch his weapons back and forth between both hands at a moments notice.

Jutsus (sorry for the horrible japanese >_< ) :
Ninjutsu:
Sandangamae no Jutsu: Sending his chakra through his boomerang, it splits into three individuals ones, improving the accuracy by threefold.

Miira no Jutsu: Taking the ribbon off his vest and arm, he sends it at his enemy and binds them in it, wrapping them like a mummy.

Denshishen no Jutsu: Sends a beam of focused chakra at the enemy. This takes a considerable amount of chakra for a volley of beams, so it's used sparingly.

Genjutsu:
Kurayami no Sora: When attacking the enemy in the daytime, this technique creates the illusion of night, swallowing its target into darkness.

Shunshoku Koudoukou: Calling on his zodiac animal, he is able to maintain some of their special abilities. In this case his animal is a horse so he gains their speed, power, and aggressiveness. When he goes deep into this genjutsu, his body appears to have changed into the form of a blue horse.

Taijutsu:
Shadow Kick: A series of rapid-fast kicks aimed at the enemies vital spot, ending in a roundhouse kick. His legs move so fast that they look like a blur, hence the name 'shadow'.

Kuchiyose no Jutsu:
Aojiro summons a silver hawk named Tsume. Being a Genin, he can only summon an average sized hawk and dreams of the day when he'll be able to summon Gin'Yoku and soar through the skies on his back.

Likes: Reading, finding constellations, cooking, hanging out with his friends, playing the flute, playing with Tsume, and penguins (he can relate to them).

Dislikes: Cleaning (he preferred an "organized mess"), getting up in the morning, spiders, bullies, ghost stories, and pickles.

Future dreams, hopes, and goals: Still undecided, he's mostly focused on protecting his village and friends. His one main goal, however, is to train enough to summon Gin'Yoku. Either that or invent wings.
